The switching capacity of up to 176 Gbps and forwarding rate of up to 130 Mbps ensure fast data transfer rates. This unit has front-to-back or AFO airflow. This is ideal when the network cabling is in the cool corridor.

The EX3400-48T supports virtual chassis technology, allowing multiple switches to be interconnected and managed as a single logical device. This enhances scalability and simplifies network administration. The EX3400-48T is well-suited for environments where power from ethernet is not needed.
