The Cisco ME-3600X-24FS-M is a switch for metro Ethernet deployments. It features 24 Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports and two 10-Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ uplink ports, supporting high-bandwidth aggregation.
This Layer 3 switch supports MPLS, Hierarchical QoS (HQoS), IPv6 routing, and multicast capabilities for service provider applications. Redundant power supply options enhance reliability in critical networking scenarios. IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging ensures flexible traffic management across multiple customer networks on the same infrastructure.
Security features include Control Plane Policing (CoPP) to protect against denial-of-service attacks and advanced Access Control Lists (ACLs) for granular policy enforcement at the edge of the network.
